Meet the Truemans

In 2006, we made the life-changing decision to leave rural Nottinghamshire and begin a new chapter in the beautiful village of Samoëns. We both brought useful skills as Tony had a building company and I, a beauty salon. Having both been self-employed from a very early age, we shared a passion for hard work, creating something special and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.

From the very beginning, our vision was simple: to create luxurious alpine accommodation that feels warm, welcoming and effortlessly relaxing. We believe it's the little details that make the biggest difference, which is why we're always looking for new ways to enhance and improve everything we offer.

Over the past 20 years, Truemanalp has grown almost entirely through personal recommendation, with many of our guests returning year after year. There is no greater compliment than welcoming familiar faces back to Samoëns and helping families and friends create new memories together.

Today, our family has grown too. Charlie is now married and lives in Sydney with his wife and their two young children, while Libby has made London her home. Although we are now spread across the world, Samoëns is still the place that brings us back together. Every time we're here, surrounded by the mountains we fell in love with all those years ago, it reminds us why we chose to make this our home.

We are incredibly proud to continue welcoming guests to The Barn and The Suite, sharing the same warmth, hospitality and attention to detail that have been at the heart of Truemanalp since 2006.

We look forward to welcoming you and helping you create memories that will bring you back to the Alps, year after year.
